Show Struan RobertsonGENERAL ENGINEERING.ANDERVILLE, UTAH.Engineering Society.Robertson wasn't very long on student activities, but Gee! what a length on stature and studies. The professors had to look twice to make sure that he was really sitting down, and all of the fellows fought to see who should sit behind him, to be protected from the professor's baneful glances. He did mechanics' problems in his head and dispensed with a slide rule as an unnecessary and childish device. His lessons became so used to being "got" that they used to run to meet him half way. He applied calculus to everything he did-from shaving to paying tithing. There is no record of his ever having mixed with the ladies and m is generally supposed that his heart is up above the snow line, figuratively, literally and eternally.Joseph M. In the first place he comes from Ogden. That in itself is criminal enough, but in the second place he has an awful reputation as a student. Owing to the fact that he is such a basketball fan, we might overlook the latter, but not the former. He is remembered with a certain amount of regret by old Salt Lake High School students who tried to get through Ogden's line on different occasions, but since we live and forget, Joe and the above mentioned Salt Lakers get along very nicely.(47) |
