Show -22- Avenues, South Gate, was completed on November 28, 1956. (See photograph, Plate 23.) 2. On the Lower Feeder System: (a) The 10-foot diameter Cajalco Tunnel extending 1.4 miles southwesterly from the distribution headworks at Lake Mathews was completed November 1, 1954. (b) The 3.9-mile portion of the Lower Feeder, commencing westerly of the Cajalco Tunnel and extending to the city limits of Corona, was completed June 6, 1955. (c) The 4.6-mile portion of the Lower Feeder, passing through the City of Corona, was completed August 1, 1955. (See photographs, Plates 24 and 25.) (d) The 5.1-mile portion of the Lower Feeder, commencing westerly of Corona and extending to a point north of the Santa Ana River Canyon, was completed April 18, 1956. (See photographs, Plates 26, 27 and 28.) (e) The 2.2-mile portion of the Lower Feeder, extending westerly from a point north of the Santa Ana River to the east portal of the San Juan Tunnel, was completed March 5, 1956. (f) The 10-foot diameter San Juan Tunnel, extending 1.3 miles westerly through a range of hills north of the Santa Ana River, was completed January 10, 1956. (g) The 4.5-mile portion of the Lower Feeder (including the first section of the Santiago Lateral), commencing at the west portal of the San Juan |
