Show -21- The following projects of the 1952 expansion program were completed prior to November 30, 1956, on the dates indicated: 1. On the Middle Feeder System: (a) The 5.8-mile, 60-inch diameter Garvey-Ascot Cross Feeder was completed on November 25, 1953. (b) The Garvey Reservoir was completed on October 11, 1954. (See photograph, Plate 21.) (c) The 15.8-mile, 72-inch diameter Middle Feeder, extending southerly from Garvey Reservoir to Victoria Street, was completed on October 25, 1954, including the Rio Hondo Pressure Control Station. (See photograph, Plate 22.) (d) The 4-mile, 54-inch to 45-inch diameter Victoria-223rd Street Cross Feeder, extending 0.7 mile from the end of the existing Victoria Street Lateral to the south end of the Middle Feeder and then southwesterly 3.3 miles along Alameda Street to 223rd Street to connect with the Long Beach Lateral, was completed December 30, 1953. (e) A portion of the Middle Cross Feeder consisting of the 1.4-mile, 78-inch diameter pipeline extending westerly from the Palos Verdes Feeder, and the 2.6-mile Inglewood Lateral extending from Figueroa Street along 92nd-Arbor Vitae Streets to Crenshaw Boulevard in Inglewood, were completed on June 27, 1955. (f) The balance of the Middle Cross Feeder, consisting of the 5.4-mile, 78-inch diameter, pipeline extending easterly from the Palos Verdes Feeder to the Middle Feeder at Southern and Garfield |
