Der Bankraum van oben durch Fenster beleuchtet, die so mit den Bureaufenstern verbunden sind, dass sic einen prxchtigen Fries iiber der schmucklosen Mauer bilden, die den Bankraum einschliesst. Das GebPude steht mtfernt van anderen HBusern, urn eon allen Seiten Licht und Luft zu erhalten. Das Hotel ist ein freistehender Bau, in den die Anwaltbureaus des Eigentiimers, die &en Separat- &gang haben, einverleibt sind. Tafel L. Sommerlandhaus fiir Frau Elizabeth Stone, Glencoe, Illinois. Das Musikzimmer, der Hauptraum des Hauses, im oberen Stock. Zwei DPcher. Das obere Da& ragt iiber die Enden, das untere iiber die S&en des Hauses. Der Raum zwischen diesen Dlchern, der einen Luftschacht bildet, kisst de :r Luft freien Eingang. Kein Keller. Der Plan ist nur fiir das ultere Gartenparterre gegeben. Tafel LIII. Haus des Typus mit dem grossen Wohn- zimmer, das durch Wands&-me, die such als Biicherschr~nke und Sitze neben dem Kamin dienen kijnnen, in einzelne Privatrsume get& werden kann.
