Show Births to Adolescents (Ages 15-19) Pregnant teenagers are less likely to receive early prenatal care than other pregnant women and are more likely to give birth to low birth weight babies. While the U.S. percentage of births to adolescents has decreased since 1980, the Utah percentage has remained fairly constant. Thus, the ratio between the two has narrowed significantly. Table 92.
