Gardner was one of two unanimous all conference choices at the end of the season. His 20.8 scoring average was sixth best in the WAC, and his rebounding average of 10.8 was fourth from the top. Gardner's highest scoring output of the season was 31 points against Arizona State in Tempe. In three years at his forward position, he sank 1,291 points, enough to place him sixth on Utah's all time scoring list. In his three seasons at the post position, Mahler dumped in 844 points for Utah. In his final game, he needed six points to become the 11th top scorer in Utah history. He hit 12. Against Stanford, Mahler led the Redskins with 28 points and 16 rebounds. He finished ninth in the WAC in rebounding (8.3). Laster became an integral part of the Utah attack with his 14 points and seven rebounds per game. He was seventh in the conference in field goal percentage (.497), and scored his season high of 28 points at home against Arizona State.
