Who kept food prices from rising? Who spent countless unpaid hours on mind-fraying financial statements? The student portion of Union Board. The persons who preserve, extend and plan those programs most students take as a given function of the Union are not professional administrators, but a hardworking group of interested undergraduates who volunteer time and considerable effort to make sure the University Union fulfills its function. How would you arrange to finance Programs Council entertainment? Would you sacrifice studies to think about it? These people do, and gain some very real practical administrative experience. |
