ROBINSON.cIlie Board of RegentsTHE government of the University and the management of its property and affairs are vested in the Board of Regents. The present Board is composed of men apd^women of ex-perienc&and standingjjKfhe state. Included in the mern^ersrrip^are attorneys, doctors, educators and business men; and women of influence in all the cultural activities of our communities.The Board renders a devoted and patriotic service to all the people of Utah, given without pecuniary return and performed solely for the intellectual advancement of the young peopleâ€" their training for the highest citizenship.The duties of the Board call for patient and earnest attention to many intricate problemsâ€" academical and business,â€" which occupy much time.During the past years more than eighteen meetings were held, many of them protracted at which important matters were discussed and decisions reached.The Board is actuated by a sincere desire to faithfully serve the interests of the Institution, to promote the welfare of the students and to provide every facility for their educational advancement, commensurate with the means at their disposal.Among the enterprises to be undertaken during the years 1928-29 are the erection of an Assembly Hall to be known as Kingsbury Hall and the inauguration of the erection of the Union Building.Thomas HullPage 19' |
