Show The Kindergarten AimE Kindergarten girls make up a merry crowd,With love for pleasure we a"e all endowed; We cut the simple living when it's rightAnd show the world that our young hearts are light. But wisdom's ways we know full wellAs worthy students of the great Froebel; Our present aim is high, none can gainsay,To help the young ones in both work and play; And varied are the ways and means we useTo give to him more wide and fuller viewsOf the great world, of which perhaps he'll see,In thirty years, a great deal more than we.To make of him a pure, unselfish manWe're striving hard and doing all we can.We seek to find the many ways that reach his heart,For here we have the thing that plays the greater part,In giving him the power to go through lifeA well-trained man with strength to win in strife.A worthy aim, you can't deny,Than which no other is more high; But still we are not dead, you should agree; In fact, we're just as live as live can be.And if as yet you're not aware of this,It's your own fault; you know not what you miss.(90) |
