Paris. 1898, p. 233. Stal (Hem. Afr. ii. p. 11.4) describes this species, of which it is stated " Exemplum typicuui Westwoodi haud examinavi," as having the " rostrum coxas posticas attingens." The rostrum, however, is much longer and generally reaches the third abdominal segment. This is the real distinguishing character which separates the species from S. hcematica Germ.
