Eggs (no. 65) white, spotted with red, especially at the larger end: axis *7, diam. 55. Nest open, made of dead leaves, coarse grass, and fibres, lined with finer fibres. This species is practically a new discovery of Mr. Salmon's; for although Delattre had previously obtained an example near Popayan, Kaup determined Delattre's specimen as S. flaveola.
