UT 84103 "OWNER", and to all other persons having, or claiming an interest in and to the land and building hereinafter described: 2-story vacant building located at 111/113 - 25th Street Ogden City, Weber County, Utah, on the following nd situated in Weber County, Utah; to-wit: 1;,$ O"1~ , Block 20, Plat A, Ogden City Survey, Weber County, Utah: Beglnnlng at a point 107 feet east of the northwest corner of said Lot 6; and running thence south 156 feet 10 inches, thence east 22 feet, thence north 156 feet 10 inches, thence west 22 feet to the place of beginning. ~~~~~reet), You, and each of you, are hereby notified that pursuant to the provisions of Section 302 of the Dangerous Building Code, as ordained by :)rdinance No. 46-88 passed and adopted on December 1, 1988, the undersign~d, as the officer charged with the administration and enforcement of said Code, has caused to be inspected the building(s) hereinabove described and has determined that said building(s) is/are a Dangerous Building(s) within terms of said Section 302 and particularly by reason of the following, to-wit: 1. 2. 3. 4. The multi~resident , two-story building on this property, formerly known as the Scudder Saloon, is dilapidated, deteriorated, structurally unsound, and a fire hazard. (UCADB 302.4,8,16) The south and east walls indicate by large open cracks, deteriorated and partialy missing mortar or bricks, that their str~~ral strength and stability is materially less than the minimum requirements for new buildings. The brick walls have also settled and buckled to such an extent that they have materially less resistance to earthquakes than is re9.,hl i reJ;Li n the.. ·case of s i mil a r new cons t ruct ion, and po rt ions of the '. south wa 11 now 1 i st or 1ean to the po; nt of becom; ng detached and thereby fail and/or collapse. The parapets have deteriorated with time and now, 1n fact, are also crumbling and collapsing. (UCADB 302.4,5,7,8, & 10) The roof deck and coveri ng has deteri orated to the poi nt that t.he bui lding has no weather resisting qual ities, with the accompanyH1g collapse of interior ceilings and wall coverings. (UCADB 302.5,14 ) Due to the di lapidated condition of the bui ld1ng, it has been determined to be a fi re hazard. (UCADB 302. 16 ) |
