Show August , 1885 It rained as well as in the night Frid 21st. & we coulden accomp lish much . Sat 22nd. wagon & It rained & I had to quite cradlin g so I put a pig in my drove up to Bro Brindle ys & commenced recordi ng tpe names in the ward record . Sun 23rd. I went to meeting house but there was no It rained some. I then up the valley to Bro Riddle s S.S. or meetin g. & commenced recordi ng names. Bro Allens folks had a very sick child to which I admini stered twice. I got all the names in the branch . We continu ed the harves t . Mond 24th. acres of wheat for Bro Betten sen . I cut near, or quite, two And I cut some oats for us. one oclock A.M. last night to get the names recorde d. It took me till I sent the report it furnish ed to Pangui tch. It rained some this A.M. Tuesd 25th. Betten sen & an acre or more of oats for us . Boston last evenin g. evening late & I posted a letter to Harrie t p. Poor opened yesterd ay . We continu ed the harves t. I finishe d cutting 4 acres & for Bro Bettens en . _( Thursd 27th . This P.M. Emery I was up early cradeli ng oats. & I Bro hitched up & started for Koosharem & came up to Box Creek & stoped at Hanset ts. Frid 28th .. We visited Mr . Parker & saw his fine stock & then we fixed went to Koosharem & made arrange ments with Bro Carlsen our gun & pistol then came home arrivin g soon after 9 oclock P.M. Sat 29th. August did not get caught up with the bind of oats so we worked at that for a while & then finishe d up the wheat remain der of the day. & shocked up oats the Bro Edmunds Allens child that we admini stered to last Sabbath died this morning or during night last. Sund 30th. Bro J~1. Young & We all went to the funera l of Bryant Alphon so Allen. I were the speake rs. I read from Book of Monnon Mosiah 15-21 and Alma 40.::. cpt. Mond 31st. day. ~- Bro Wilcox arrived from S.L. City with mercha ndise Sunday Wed 26th. J... 4 I cut an acre of wheat for I cradled oats.
