Vie drove to Fayette & put up with Bp Bartholo mew. Bro White & John Jensen stoped till the noon train came in to get the luggage • We drove to Salina where we were the guests of Bp v·e a Nov 12th 84. Jensen & those at Salina who treated us splended . I traveled with the company till noon at Pratvil l Thursd Nov 13th 84. I left them & went via Bro Gardners fann to Richfie ld expectin g to trade my mare for grain but failed for the present • Frid Nov 14th. Passed the emigran ts on th I drove to Alava Harrise s. way not knowing it. & rec'd of William $1500 . 00 to I arrived at the Mill Sat Nov 15th. I brot my flour from the Mill . pay indebted ness in grass valley . Sr . Gardner came with me from Richfie ld & rnatilda Emily King from the Mills. Sund Nov 16th . I & the family & Sr. Wilcox~ family spent Bro J . E. Petersen s Birthday with him up the valley . Mond Nov 17th s4. I payed Mr. J.E . Forshee on notes Bros Yfuite & I went up the valley. I was choring . De Lew who crune with Bro Nilcox went with me up to Culberts & then with his teams to town . I brot Bro Sebrin Humphries home with me to do some blacksm ithing . Black plowed & Parker chored. I was choring Tuesd Nov 18th 84. & plowed some . Rigged, ill out for the Mill but draw bolt broke with him 12 miles away & he returned . choring . Mvill Parker was Father Syrett was brot up here by Fred to build me a chicken house which he commenced with rock this P . M. Father Syrett worked at the chicken coop as did Park r , Wed Nov 19th 84 . Will went ·to the saw mill after slabs & I drew rocks for the coop this A. M. & plowed this P . M. Thursd Nov 20th 84. yesterda y at the coop. Father Syrett & Parker as~ I hauled rock & plowd . 'fill returned with Slabs. Frid Nov 21st 84 . I hauled a load of rock the school house this A. M. & this p. M. I plowed. & took a load of adobies to Father Syrett ished the rock work on the coop &: Will went for more slabs. sen the wheat&: oats due him . Wheat 7 bus & wheat 65 lbs.
