Show 5 A. M. & started at 7:30 A. M. & arrived home at 7:30 p. M. I hauled another 1oad of logs. Wed Sept 26th 83 . Albert brot 200 hea sheep or about that. Thursd 27th. the herd . Albert & Isaac counted the sheep then Albert took them t There was 227 of ours & 28 of Isaac . I sold I went to our Saw Mill . P . D.L' s horse for $32.50 & a cow for $24. oo . Sat 29 . the loading place. I hauled in one load with the horses & took the oxen up to Timber is getting scarce to what it used to be. Sund Sept 30 . toung . Hauled in two loads. I way loging. Frid 28 Sept 1883. I hauled in two load of logs although I broke the cart James Baker the Sawyer & the loger went hunting deer yesterday. herd flour 85 lbs, butter 6½, Store $2.80 , cash $15. 8, J. Wilcox v. K. put in For the 4 days, R. John on 5 days, Albert 3, Frank 11 , Amasa 11, Wm Shirts 18, Oris 1 . Mr. Baker dident get be.ck till noon . Mond Oct 1 1883. I was making ready to start waiting for my lumber to Tuesd Oct 2nd. go with till six P. M. when I made a start for home. the wagon tice ran off. I was choring. An hour after which one of I then got on one horse leading tre other to Kingston Mills . I got a wheel here & Eph after bark helped me put Wed Oct 3rd 1883 . it on then I came home having luck enough to get stalled in the sand & ran one wheel off a bridge & unloaded. I pulled peas. Thursd Oct 4th. Frid Oct I arrived about 6:30 P . M. 5 1883 . It stormed. Snow fell on the mountai s. I finished pulling the peas & then hauled them & thi P. M. I & the children dug 10 bus of potatoes. Sat Oct 6th 1883. potatoes. I dug by the help of Joda Nay & the children 45 bus Pd back to Jos Betersen the 8 bus & a half I got of him last spring . Sund Oct 7th 83 . I attended Sabbath school & ward meeting. Mond Oct 8th 83 . I hunted a cow unsuccessfully this A. M. & this p. M I with Eliza & babe & May came down here to the Mills. This evening I wrote out my official bond for Selectman & took it to Junction & took the oath. Tuesd Oct 9th 83. I was up with the morning & drove to old Kingston for breakfast then load on lumber from my house & cal'.Ile back to the Mills for dinner & home at 7 P • M. Betsy Frank stayed with the children .
