E., Chief Engineer Central Utah Water Conservancy District 355 West 1300 South Orem, Utah 84058- 7303 RE: Draft Report on the Hydrologic Model Analysis of the Provo River Basin The Fish and Wildlife Service has reviewed the subject report and provides the following comment. While we realize that comments were due several weeks ago, staff limitations have prevented out review until now. We hope that it is not too late to consider our comments at this time. The Service is intrigued by the possibility of using the PROSIM model to explore options for managing water within the Provo River Basin to achieve greater environmental benefits, especially stream flows for June Sucker. The model provides the opportunity to alter demand, supply, priorities, and constraints to explore options, trade- offs , and results of water operations. We look forward to working with the District to solve water- related environmental problems using PROSIM. We appreciate the opportunity to comment. Sincerely, ^ l r\, !••• A t: obert D.
