Show jl 1 (b) The United States, its permittees, licensees, and 2 contractees, and all users and appropriators of water stored, 3 diverted, carried, and/or distributed by the reservoir, canals, 4 and other works herein authorized, shall observe and be sub- 5 ject to and controlled by said Colorado River compact in the 6 construction, management, and operation of said reservoir. 7 canals, and other works and the storage, diversion, delivery. 8 and use of water for the generation of power, irrigation, and 9 other purposes, anything in this Act to the contrary notwith- 10 standing, and all permits, licenses, and contracts shall so 11 provide. 12 (c) Also the United States, in constructing, manag- 13 ing, and operating the dam. reservoir, canals, and other 14 works herein authorized, including the appropriation, 15 delivery, and use of water for the generation of power, 10 irrigation, or other uses, and all users of water thus deliv- 17 ered and all users and appropriators of waters stored by 18 Said reservoir and/or carried by said canal, including all 1$ permittees and licensees of the United States or any of its 20 agencies, shall observe nnd be subject to and controlled, any-2J thing to the contrary herein notwithstanding, by the terms 22 of such compact, if any, between the States of Arizona, 28 California, and Nevada, for the equitable division of the 24 benefits, including power, arising from the use of water 2f> accruing to said Stales, subsidiary to and consistent with said |
