Show 12 1 Laguna Dam; but the Secretary of the Interior is authorized 2 to modify the said contract, with the consent of the said H district, and also to enter into contract or contracts with the 4 said district or other districts, persons, or agencies for the 6 construction, in accordance with this Act, of said cnnnl nnd ft appurtenant structures, and also for the operation nnd 7 maintenance thereof, with the consent of the other users. 8 Sbc. 11. "Political subdivision" or "political sub- 9 divisions " as used in this Act shall be understood to include 10 any State, irrigation, or other district, municipality, or other 11 governmental organization. 12 "Reclamation law" as used in this Act shall bo imder- 13 stood to mean that certain Act of the Congress of the United 14 States approved June 17, 1902, entit'ed "An Act appro- 15 priating the receipts from the sale and disposal of public IB land in certain States and Territories to the construction of 17 irrigation works for the reclamation of arid lands," and the IS Acts amendatory thereof and supplemental thereto. 19 " Maintenance " as used herein shall bo deemed to 20 include in each instance provision for a fund sufficient to 21 keep the works in good operating condition during the 22 period of amortization of construction cost. 23 SBC. 12.
