Show The retracements. resurveys and surveys herein described were executed on dates shown on diagram on page 1 here of, by Sidney E. Blout .U.S. Cadastral Engineer .using a Buff "Rocky Mountain Favorite" solar transit No.16724, with U-shaped standards,4a inch horizontal circle, 4 inch vertical circle, and improved Snith solar attach •nent. The instrument was examined, tested on the true meridian at the federal Building,in Phoenix,Arizona, fourd correct, and at>T>roved by the District Cadastral 3rgineer for iirizonti and California,February 27tic28,conditional uoon satisfactory field tests. all azinuth determinations are accomplished with the aolur attachment or by deflection from true meridian established by.observations on Polaris as hereinafter stated in the field notea. All measurements are made with a ^allie 5 chain steel tane.connared with a Cheaterman standard 1 chain steel tape, und found correct. The measurements are made on the slope, the vertical angle determined with a clino-Tieter.^nd the slope measurements properly reduced to true horizontal distances for entry in the field notea |
