In this second page of a letter to George B. Sweazey, James Riach writes of Tom who is a student at the Salt Lake Collegiate Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. Riach notes he had already warned Tom that if he were expelled from school, then he would have to stay at the high school until the term was over before returning home with his sisters. He also informs Mr. Sweazey how he told Tom of never having had the same opportunity in school and of having had an apprenticeship instead. Mr. Sweazey is the principal of the Salt Lake Collegiate Institute. NOTES: For more information on Tom, see page 22 for a letter Mr. Riach sent to George Sweazey on March 30th. |
