Show Presbyterian Church,<br> Pastor's Study. <br> Wildman Murphy. <br><br> American Fork, Utah, Mar. 9th 1906<br><br> Dear Mr. Sweazey: <br><br> This afternoon I gave a note to Elmore Hyde of this place introducing him to you. He intends leaving here tomorrow mor. and so will get there prob. about the time this does. Elmer's mother and father lived in Logan and his father took a plural as reported. And Mrs. Hyde left him. Elmore and one dau. went with their mother and one dau. is in Los Angeles with the father. <br><br> The sep. occurred some yrs. ago and Elmore has not had the discipline he needed in the absence of his father. <br><br> You will see he is bright and winning and his mother in her perturbed condition has striven hard to keep him right. <br><br> She is a great friend of Mrs. Bro. Clumensen* of Logan and I have had many talks with her. She abhors the Mormons and knows nothing else and sometimes is nearly distracted <br> [Continues on next page.] <br><br> |
