Show Department of School Work
George F. McAfee, D. D., Superintendent
Rev. Robert M. Craig, Asst. Superintendent
156 Fifth Avenue
New York

New York, March 20th, 1906.

Mr. George B. Sweazey,
Collegiate Institute,
Salt Lake City, Utah.

My dear Mr. Sweazey:-

Your letter to Mr. Craig has remained unanswered because we have expected daily that he would be in the office. As it is somewhat uncertain when he will be here, I acknowledge the receipt of this, and will say that the matter of the clerical rates has been referred to the Treasurer.

The second thing of which you wrote was the need of hymn books. Will you not make requisition for them in next year's budget, so that they may be supplied without fail?

We are glad to know that the small-pox troubles are over, and hope that there will be no further trial of any kind during the year.

I neglected to say that Mr. Craig has been laid up with a sore foot. Whether this was the result of the poisoning has not yet been determined. We are hoping to have more favorable news from him in a day or two.

Very truly yours,

Susan H. Pingry
(Ms. J. F.) School Secretary.

|
