In this letter to George B. Sweazey, Harvey C. Olin writes of how railroad companies have decided not to issue clergy rates to teachers in Utah, simply to prevent teachers of the schools affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from attaining such rates. In response, Mr. Olin promises to create a list of missionary teachers from the Presbyterian Church in both Utah and Idaho, and to send the list to Eben E. MacLeod of the Western Clergy Bureau in hopes that certificates will be passed and forwarded to the mission teachers. |
