Show ALBERTO GUZMAN February 10, 2006 JAS: You seem pretty smart too, I'm sure you could have done it! ALB: Well, I don't know. JAS: Now, on December 7t\ did you know where Pearl Harbor was? Had you heard of it before? ALB: Oh, yeah! JAS: Okay. ALB: Yeah, I'd heard of it before. It was a recreation center, you know. And the reason Japan came over, I think Hitler is the one that got them to bomb us up there. JAS: So you think Germany asked Japan? ALB: I think so. It's not an official thing that I could prove, but I think it was some kind of a combination- that Hitler got a hold of the Japanese and had them bomb us. Of course, they knew they were dirty, they would do anything dirty. And that was dirty because we didn't expect anything like that. JAS: Did you have any idea at all that that might happen, that Japan might attack the United States? ALB: Well, I think the United States did have an idea. But they didn't know if Japan was that dumb to come all the way up there. But, what happened, Japan has the kind of people there- they knew they was suicide, you know. They knew all these planes and everything, Japan did- they had enough fuel to get there and bomb us but they wouldn't make it back, you see. JAS: Yeah. 33 |
