Further Information |
In this letter to George B. Sweazey, Harvey C. Olin writes that Mr. Eben E. MacLeod has responded to a list created by the Board of Home Missions of the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. of mission teachers in Utah and Idaho. The list was made in response to railroad companies refusing to give clergy passes to teachers in Utah (see page 12). According to Mr. Olin, Mr. MacLeod of the Western Passengers Association had replied by suggesting the Board send another list to Mr. J. Charlton of the Railway Exchange Bureau in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Olin then writes that the list has been sent to Mr. Charlton, and instructs Mr. Sweazey to have applicants for the passes send their application to Mr. Charlton. |
