Now, I am not sure of how much of that storage those reservoirs, but I do not believe the Boulder Dam would interfere with the construction of the ones that are commercially feasible. Q I am merely asking as a scientific matter, and not as a commercial matter at all, you understand? A Well, I do not understand just what you mean by " scientific"? Q What I mean is, Will the construction of the Boulder Dam render impossible the later construction of any of the Boulder other projects, if it should be deemed desirable to construct them? A Well, the Boulder Dam will supply, so far as irriga-tions goes, the acreage that those reservoirs were proposed to supply storage for; those reservoirs were proposed to supply storage for irrigation and flood control for this lower valley, which the Boulder Dam is now being proposed to pro-vide for. By Mr. Farnsworth: Q You mean Boulder Dam will supply the same sections that might have been in part supplied by these other dams? A Yes, sir. |
