Show 6048 493 4051 junction ( indicating on map)? A ( Examining map) Right at the junction there is one indicated. This Dark Canyon, as indicated here ( indicating), would apparently back water up to the junction. Q That would destroy the rapids in Cataract Canyon. would it not? A Yes, sir. It would all be flooded out. Next is a dam site, a power site, indicated at Lees Ferry, at the lower end of Glen Canyon, which is a combined storage and power site. Do you wish me to continue on down into Arizona? By Mr. Blackmar: Q Well, let us take the San Juan River first, and see what you have got on that? A In Utah? Q In Utah, yes. A The first development indicated here ( indicating) is the power site at Bluff. That, again, I believe, is a combination storage and power site. That seems to be the only indicated development on the San Juan. Q Does that map show any land which is proposed to be irrigated from the San Juan River in the State of Utah? A ( Examining map) None whatever. Q Mr. Stabler, will you give me the height of the proposed dam at Boulder Canyon? |
