A Well, there is shown here ( indicating on map) an undeveloped reservoir site and an undeveloped power site at that point ( indicating), the back water of the reservoir ex-tending practically up to the town of Green River, Wyoming. The power plant in connection with it would be by a dam here in Horse Shoe Canyon, just below Flaming Gorge. Q Is the purpose of Flaming gorge dam site for irri-gation or for power? A Primarily power; river control is quite a factor; it will completely regulate the Green River at that point ( indicating) -- practically uniform regulation being desirable for power. Q I see here on the map ( indicating), immediately be-low the Wyoming line, a circle with the figure 2 under it, and to the right of it one with the figure 3 on it. What do those indicate? A ( Examining map) those indicate undeveloped power sites, below Flaming Gorge, that would use the equated flow of the stream at the Flaming Gorge site, above in Utah. Q Well, in the production of power, is it necessary to equalize the flow? A It makes the production much more economical and |
