It seems to me that when you show the picture of the river, It is a good deal like any witness who goes on the stand: You show who he is, where he came from, and what his occupation is. And with a river, when you come to consider the question of navigation, what do you want before you is a picture of the river so that you may understand the conditions immediately in front of the land in question. I view it that counsel's suggestion, al-though in certain types of cases, certain issues would be in-volved, would be very valid and very pertinent. There is not any question that, in a suit of this character, even with the issues drawn as narrowly as they are here, evidence with re-spect to navigability on other portions of the river than those directly involved here may properly be admissible in parts of the river, but provided that that offered evidence tends to enlighten the Court as to the navigability at the locus in quo, and only such evidence.
