A That was a prospector, an old man who came down the river to opposite our camp. Q Was it Humphries? A I do not recall his name. I do not know whether I over know it or not. Q Mr. Fowler, did you make any observations with re-ference to any charges in the channel in the river? A I noticed that it was changing. Q And at what point did you observe that? A We would notice it in front of our camps. Q At what points? A At Ferry and at these camps at miles 11, more parti-cularly, and at camps above Warm Creek; the changes were taking place more rapidly up there.
