Show KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That I, James B. Alexander, Superintendent of the Pima Indian School, Gila River Indian Reservation, Arizona, in my official capacity as such officer for and on behalf of certain Pima & Papago Indians, wards of the United States of America, to-wit: John Hayes, Kisto Dixon, Vissant, and all otHer Pima & Papago Indiams, resident in wHat is known as the Sacaton Flats Indian Village, on the south side of the Gila River, about six miles east of the Pima Agency, Sacaton, Arizona; Harry and Geroge Azul, Juan THomas, John Wiston and all the Pima & Papago Indians resident in what is known as the Cottonwood Indian / Village, on the south side of the Gila Rlv^er from one-half K\)r to four (I4.) miles East of the Pima Agency, Sacaton, Arizona; John Makil, Juan Apachose, Henry Adam, Lewis Knox, James Thompson, Charles Smith, Robert Thompson, and all the Pima & Papago Indians resident on the lands from one (1) totwenty (20) miles West and north-west of the Pima Agency, Sacaton, Arizona, and for and on behalf of the United States of America as guardian of said Indiana, do hereby appropriate for use of said Indians, for irrigation, domestic use, stock and for any other beneficial purpose on their lands on the said Reservation, twenty thousand (20,000) inches, miners' measurement, of the flood water flow of the water flov -ing in the Gila River,a nd at that point at which this notice is posted, to-wit: at a point on the Gila River,at the point of intersection of an old canal commonly known as the Little Gila River, with the Gila River, in Section Pour (I).), Township Five (5) South, Range Seven (7) East of the Base Line and Gila and Salt River Meridian, Pinal County, Territory of Arizona, approximately in the North-east quarter of said Section and about one-fourth (-J-) of a mile South of the Nor.th line of said quarter-section, said appropriation of water to be in addition to all water heretofore appropriated for the use of said.Pima & Papago Indians at Sacaton Flats Indian Village, at Cottonwood Indian Village, at Stotonek, Casa Blanca, Babchul, Sweetwater, Sacaton, Wet Camp and Railroad Crossing Indian Villages and heretofore used by them, and for the purpose of irriratin? unsurveyed lands within the Gila River Indian |
