Your view in regard to taking charge of the Institute is like mine, is a thing you'd not wish to do, except temporarily. There is to be a meeting of the College Trustees next Thursday, to consider the matter. I Know beforehand that they will not be willing to let you leave the College work except temporarily. But the more I think of it the more I am reconciled to your taking Mr. Caskey's place because of the desirable results that would follow, in many ways. The two departments could be easily adjusted to each other, and it could be very easy for you and me to consult together about the work in general.
