Sweazey <br> Virden, Il. <br><br> My Dear Mr. Sweazey, <br><br> Mr. Caskey has placed in my hand his resignation as Principal of the Collegiate Institute. to take effect Sept. 12th next. I was greatly surprised: and as you well know may both to accept it as Mr. Caskey is a rare man and has managed the school to the perfect satisfaction of the Mission Board, and his letter of resignation he cordially- I may say, warmly, recommends you to the Mission Board as his successor. <br><br> I shall forward to the Board Mr. Caskey a letter- recommending that his resignation be accepted, and shall also most heartily approve his recommendation of yourself as his successor.
