Show plants which in turn affect the water quality of the Jordan River. The third method estimated the future population levels by projected municipal boundaries. This was necessary so that each member municipality of the Salt Lake County Council of Governments could relate its future role in growth and development to the County- wide water quality goals of the 208 Project. With each municipal role defined, the Council of Governments will be able to recognize which entity will make substantial impact on non- point source pollution and guide non- point source control implementation accordingly. As well as projecting possible population increases by different boundaries, the 208 Project was given the task of determining how many people the Salt Lake Valley could hold if developed at typical densities. The same procedures for determining typical density were used here as with the statistical area determinations, without the assumptions that influence settlement patterns. Detailed descriptions of these density assumptions are included with the narratives accompanying each set of maps or tables in Section IV. 46 |
