Show simulation modeling efforts being conducted at the Bureau of Economic and Business Research ( BEBR) at the University of Utah. Alternative Futures which relate directly to the Wasatch Front include: Alternative Future V Events, Number § Description 9. Addition of 800 basic employment jobs by 1980 due to expansion of Anaconda. 12. Addition of 2,000 to 5,900 jobs ( 1980- 1990) perhaps 75 percent basic employment, by expansion of the Research Park at the University of Utah. VI 8. Addition of 520 basic jobs by 1985 by reason of development of chemical and mineral resources of the Great Salt Lake. 9. Addition of 800 basic employment jobs by 1980 due to expansion of Anaconda. 10. Defense spending-- possible addition of 10,000 government jobs, 1980 and thereafter. VII and VIII 8.
