Values above 100 indicate that costs are higher than the U.S. average, while values below 100 represent costs lower than the U.S. average. This Cost of Living Index is calculated only for participating communities. The Cost of Living in Salt Lake surpassed the rest of the nation in the first quarter of 1997.
