When were the first houses built down here? Same time? MC: ( can't hear) GT: The first houses? Is that right? MC: Yah. GT: What about, were there small little . . . MC: Sixty- six . . . ( can't hear). GT: Now the small, real older homes that you see when you drive down through here, the real small ones, when would those have been built, forties? MC: Dog houses. GT: Dog houses, yes, they're about that large. Would they have been built, like in the forties, thirties? MC: Oh no, not in the forties. GT: Fifties? MC: Sixties. GT: In the sixties. MC: I would say around sixty. GT: Um hum. How many people lived up in Allen Canyon when you were growing up, up there? MC: Oh, there was a lot of them. GT: Hundred? MC: More than a hundred. |
