Show - 16- GT: About five. Not too many. Is the interest in Allen Canyon dying? MC: I guess. GT: Are the younger people interested in it? MC: Yah, there's a few of them. GT: What about the buildings up there? Let's see, I was up there about twelve years ago, I guess, and I haven't been back since. I don't recall that there were too many buildings up there, is that- how is it now? MC: Twelve years ago. You must be the one who built that road right through the ( can't hear). GT: Well no, but I went over it, I think if I was on the right area, we went a ways up there. JS: Someone built a road and never talked with the people. GT: Is that right? MC: Never did, never did. GT: Someone built a road in there. Did they go right through the allotments? MC: Right through the allotments? GT: Anybody try to sue them? MC: These people, they don't know about sueing. GT: Plus, it costs money. Do you have a person that represents you from BIA, you do don't you, over at Towaoc? MC: Yes. GT: Do you remember, ever remember them coming over from Towaoc and working with you when you lived up in Allen Canyon? Remember when they had the Day School up there? |
