Do you think half of the people that want to work can't, cause of lack of jobs? MC: Yah, about that. GT: About half. It's pretty high, isn't it? How do you view the education here, Mr. Cantsee? Do you think that the children are getting a pretty good education or do you think that the educational system isn't very responsive to the needs of these Ute kids here? MC: ( can't hear) GT: Um hum. MC: ( can't hear) GT: It isn't happening though. What about the- are there- in the high school and all, from what they tell us, the rate of kids graduating from San Juan County High School, or the San Juan High School up there, is non- existent? MC: ( can't hear) GT: Are the kids that are graduating from high school graduating because they're going away to boarding schools? MC: ( can't hear) |
