SA He had , his family :my fa t her's brother and my father's sister lived in Pittsbur gh . She came t o New York fir s t, ~ my f ather's sister. And then my mother's family c ame l i ke my mother other mother's brother came to --Lee l i ved in Pueb lo , Colorado. My mother mother. My brother of my mo t h er--older b rother. And so, any way , so, then mymother came and L Before your mother came here, why did your brothers come out here, do you remember. SA My uncle Nathan had a liquor store and he was doing very well and after a ll , he f elt like they were in a grocery store and he didn't like what t hey were doing, that they weren't working very hard and then my fat her did bought a grocery store and that was after and you know and he felt, t hat's when he came , after we sold our stores. L You had a groc ery s t ore in pennsy . SA M port. L Righ t andy ou r father sold that store. SA Sold t he store--we had two stores. We had one -- in the family , in our home and one downtown. My brothers used to take care of the others and my father and myself and, I was a young kid, and so we used to take care of it. What was--it was a very small store, you know. And so that's how we happened to - - so my oldest brother and the other one decided that my mothe and father shou l d come to Salt Lake. L At that time, when they made that choice, they were working for your uncle in a store here. SA My brother had a liquor store of his own here when we came here. L Whatwas the store called. SA Umm. American LAbel. Just a minute-- hold it .... Something, I can't remember. L Was the store in town here in Salt Lake. SA Right on State Street. Between second south and third south./rfggn~he c corner. There was a drug store on the corner and then this liquor store. Then he had another liquor store in Evanston, Wyoming. So they used to |
