Show Whitewashing and lighting the "U ' during Homecoming began the year for the Intercollegiate Knights whose members were selected on the basis of scholarship and willingness to serve. Winter quarter saw the IK's hosting a Christmas party for foster children and spring brought the awarding of several "Intercollegiate Knights Honorary Service Scholarships.'' Highlight of the year was the selection of Scalper chapter's Duchess, Leann Later, as national Royal Queen. Officers were Jim Lenartz, president, Kent Abbott and Tony Jensen. Serving trie University were (row l) Kent Abbot, Bruce Ferrin, Mike Circuit, Jim Nielson, Jim Lenartz, Roger Johnson, (row 2) Mark Kimball, Gary Despain, Richard Niederhauser, Dana Anderson, Tony Jensen and Reece Stein. Circle "K" Sponsored by the Salt Lake Kwanis Club, Circle "K" is one of 500 clubs in the United States and Canada. As a special service this year, Circle "K " members installed pencil sharpeners in buildings where they were needed on campus. They also conducted a symphony ticket exchange as well as hosted the Utah-Idaho district convention. Two of their members were selected as district officers and their queen, Sally Smith, was selected district Sweetheart. Giving service to both campus and community were (row 1) Brent A.
