Show PROGRAMS COMMITTEE - Working to improve programming for students by such resolutions as the establishment of Dead Week were (row l) Roger Boyer, (row 2) Virginia Cook, Steve Evans, Kathy Carpenter, Heber Lloyd, Ruth Broadbent and Mac Oswald. WELFARE COMMITTEE - Helping to establish a suitable program for the University were Lee Smith, Ralph Nielsen, Karen Olsen, Craig Battison, Kent Boyd and Matt Simmons. As the executive branch of student government on campus, the ASUU Senate meets weekly to consider the enactment of by-laws, bills and resolutions which would promote the general welfare of the student body. It is composed of five standing committees which are presided over by a chairman who is also considered to be an officer. Senate members are representatives from various segments of the school and they are responsible for the exprssion of student opinion on matters locally, nationally and internationally. One of the most important areas of concern for the Senate is the apportionment of the ASUU funds. ...-¦,:¦,:..
