The game was hard fought throughout and the result "was in doubt till the last minute when Reid of Utah, on being called by Ante of See-See, flashed two pairs of fours to his opponent's full house and took the deciding pot.An exciting play occurred in the third period when Warner of Utah attempted to bluff with a straight flush reposing in the fists of Bang of Colorado. Riches, in the line, checked his opponent's rushes quite frequently. Armstrong, the varsity quarter, was penalized fifteen cents for refusing to ante in the third hand. Goodwin was expelled from the game for using unnecessary roughness in betting. Eddie Howells was removed by the U coach for asserting a desire to play five hundred instead of the regulation game.Wareing was knocked out early in the second hand when he was tackled by a Colorado man who held four aces. It is thought that "Wareing will recover. The play of Romney was disappointing as he seemed to be out of form and wasable to solve his opponent's play at but few stages in the game. Kerr was cautioned by the referee for picking over the discards. Because of the fact that the stringencies of wartime made it necessary for the athletic councils of the two colleges to cut down on the "wads of the players the play was of necessity cautious and slow at times.Summary of the game:Lineup:UTAH .........................
