Note | The University of Utah has made former and current yearbooks from various campus entities available in print and via its digital library archive. These documents contain facts and milestones about the history of the University of Utah. In some cases, these publications contain insensitive and offensive language and imagery that does not represent the views or values of the University of Utah. Insensitive and offensive portrayals of race and gender were wrong at the time these publications were originally printed, and they are wrong today. The yearbooks are presented as they were originally created and have not been edited or censored-to do otherwise would be the same as claiming these prejudices and biases never existed. - July 2019 |

OCR Text | The Busy BeeThe photograph herewith is a striking likeness of Georgie, our campus Captain of Industry. Ever since he was able to poke his nose over the family wash bowl he has been that same family's Special Pride and Joy (except, of course, Desdemona, the Friend of the Engineers). The Busy Little Bee is the Last of his Species. The remnant of the race died in servitude. Never again will a Student Athletic Manager assign spiked soles to aspiring "U" men. Never more, for Honor's Sake and the Love of Industry, will an> Busy Little Bee train for a laundry job by checking up a list of padded breeches, jerseys, socks and other things, all on an autumn afternoon, while Shidel, or some other rival bold, alienates a Florence's affections.George has a brilliant head, and a fitting vocabulary. He will yet make his mark in the great, wide world.Buzz 'round,Cur Busy Little Bee, Buzz 'round,Until your life work you have found, You'll "manage" yet,We all dare say, And "manage" something Right away.212 |
