Show Frank O'Brien Publicity DirectorPUBLICATIONS COUNCILConfronted with numerous problems and many executive responsibilities, the Publications Council has worked carefully and efficiently throughout the entire year. Probably the most important duty of this Council is the annual selection and appointment of the editors and business managers of the Utonian, Chronicle, Pen, and Humbug. All members of the group, including both faculty and student representatives, are elected by student vote each spring. The Council consists of two faculty and three student members. Each faculty member is elected for two years, but at alternate elections. The one fulfilling his second year of service automatically becomes chairman of the group. Two of the student members hold office for one year, and one is elected for a two-year term. Dr. J. C. Thomas was chairman of the Council this year which included Sydney W. Angle-man, Douglas White, Reed Ellison, and Ted Moss.Frank O'Brien has served as publicity director for the University during the past school term. His work is one of an advertising man for the school and it is his duty to write the news of the University for local and out-of-town newspapers in order to give the state a complete understanding of the functions of the University.Ellison ThomasMOSSAnglemanWhitePage One Hundred Twenty |
