The arrangement of the figure and picture behind her is "Whis- tlerian" in quality. Painted at Pont-Aven, France, on Har- wood's honeymoon. First Salon picture. Little Friends or The Little Girl and Pigeon 1891 Oil. Full-length, standing, frontal nude study of a young girl holding a pigeon in her arms. Pose is a classical S-curve. Ldndscdpe N. D. May be the same painting as The Waztch Rmge, Number 57. All the World's a Stqe or Fumily Picnic 1893 Oil. Picnic area within a grove of trees; an old man sits on the ground in the lower right corner foreground looking past a sleeping baby on a blanket, central foreground; behind them a young couple talk s while on a seesaw (left middle ground) ; another couple converses near a central tree; two women and a child have gathered at a laden picnic table in the right middle distance; light floods the far distance beyond the trunks of nearer trees. Still-Life, Crab Apples or Crab Apples 1893 Fruit is still attached to stems and limb before a section of wooden plank wall; three old fashioned keys hang from a nail hammered into the wall to the right.
