HARMSTON2 n, Ie Robber fly adults are predacious on other insects which they capture in Some of the smaller species feed on beet leaf-hoppers which are cap tured in their desert breeding areas. Larger species of Asilidae at times at tack bees around colonies, securing for themselves the name "bee wolves." In general this family appears to be moderately beneficial. flight.
