Show Mammals from Millard County, Utah By E. RAYMOND HALL and DAVID H. JOHNSON! When studying the fauna of Mount Moriah, White Pine County, Nevada, party searched all habitats on the eastern slopes of the mountain in the vicinity of Smith Creek Cave for mammals. One of the aims in this search was to procure specimens and information about the occurrence of Recent mammals as an aid to Professor Chester Stock, Research Associate of the Carnegie Institution of Washington, in his study of the Pleistocene mammals of the mentioned cave. Because some of the habitats were best developed across the state line in Millard County, Utah, some collecting was done there. The mammals obtained in Millard County are recorded here as an aid to students working on the distribution of mammals of Utah. The specimens, taken in June and July, 1937, by Lee W. Arnold, M. Dale Arvey, Henry S. Fitch, and David H. Johnson, are preserved in the Cali fornia Museum of Vertebrate Zoology. Collections were made in six places, all in extreme western Millard County. The four localities first given below are shown on the "Fish Springs Quadrangle," U. S. G. S. topographic map, edition of 1910. Material in brackets is from the mentioned topographic map and supplements or corrects data recorded on labels attached to the specimens. The localities are as follows: our 1 mi.
