Moan It is The name is said to be' variously spelled: Mon Copie, Moen Kopie, an Indian wc rd meaning "running water". etc. It was a Lamanite missionary post; and according to figurs in the Little Colorado stake records, was, situated about 110 miles no.ct.hwe s t of Sunset, and about 70 miles south of Lee' s Ferry. It was founded by Indian ma s s t o nar t e e sent from Utah. The report of.
