Show 567 FRANKLIN A. NIMS For Complainant ( R. Vol 7 - pp. 1381- 1420 - Vol. 8- pp. 1421- 1466). He resides at Greeley, Colorado, is seventy- five his lifetime those of photography, stenography and bookkeeping. R. 1381. In the year 1369 Mr. Nims made a trip on the Green River in connection with the Brown- Stanton survey expedition for the purpose of surveying a railroad line down the Colorado River. He is one of the originators of the expedition and was in charge of the expedition. Mr. Brown has been dead for about forty years having been drowned in the Colorado River during the expedition. Robt. S. Stanton who has been dead for some three years was engineer for the party, his profession being that of Civil Engineering. R. 1382. His official capacity on the expedition was that of photographer. R. R. 1383. The boats used were clinker- built, ceder skiffs, 15 feet long, three foot beam, and twenty- four inch depth with a keel bottom. The expedition started on the Green River where the present Denver and Rio Grande bridge is now located at Greenriver, Utah.
